For a 70-ish man, my boyfriend, a guitarist himself for 50 years, was impressed by Shaun Cassidy's emotional licks. He definitely wanted to see the guitar legend and was excited.
I, not a huge fan of Shaun Cassidy, have only heard him on the radio since the 70s. I've liked what I've heard, but I'm not someone who can sing along to all his songs. I enjoyed the show but wouldn't go out of my way to see him again.
Both of us were surprised that he only sang on one or two songs. He had singers and rappers from the new generation who handled the vocals well. The band, including trombone and percussion, was pretty awesome.
We were happy to witness the legendary guitarist perform. Once in a lifetime was enough for us.
